If I'm going to be honest, I didn't even want this novel to exist before I read it. I thought the first three novels in the Field Party series made up a perfect trilogy. However, Abbi Glines surprised me once again with this one. From the prologue, I was laughing and able to relate with Tallulah, being a fat girl myself. I was feeling all right about Nash, not really remembering him from the previous books.
I've been trying to get to reading Foolish Hearts for about a year now. I received the novel in an OwlCrate in December 2017. The moment I read the synopsis I was sold on the concept. I'm not normally a huge fan of Shakespeare, but I think Emma Mills incorporated the play Midsummer Night's Dream gloriously.
Sometimes I find myself staring out of windows inside buildings at my university short of breath. Generally when this happens, I am thinking about Call me by Your Name. I was entranced with the cinematography of the film when I first watched it last summer. I only got the chance to watch half of it before my baby sister woke up from her nap. She may have only been two, but I still felt a little uncomfortable having her watch a movie with such adult content.
Right before Fall semester 2018 began, I was in desperate need of a new show to watch while sitting and doing nothing in my living room. Everything Sucks on Netflix had been sitting on my watch list for about six months. I love a good show set in a school where students are dealing with real teenage problems (Degrassi, anyone?).
I was introduced to Natasha Lyonne early in life. Really, I stumbled upon her one late night at my grandparent's house in the basement when I was looking for a movie to watch.
Kathryn and Sebastian. The screwed up step siblings that took over the 90s. It all started with a bet. But that is how all bad decisions start, isn't it?
You will all come to know that I am utterly obsessed with Timothèe Chalamet's acting ability. I have wanted to watch this film since I found out it was being made, not only because he was in it, but also because of the subject material it covers.
"Only a fool would love a queen." -Pietyr (Two Dark Reigns by Kendare Blake) I received the first book in this series a little over a year ago in an OwlCrate subscription box. Admittedly, it took me a little while to pick up the first book, but when I did I really enjoyed it. It isn't my favorite series of all time, but it is definitely one I am interested in reading until its end. I still don't know which of the queens is my favorite, since I bounce around depending on the book, or the situation they find themselves in.
I found out about Miss Stevens when I was chilling in my best friend's room. She was scrolling through Netflix trying to find a movie she could watch before bed. She paused on this movie in the "Drama" category and the picture faded onto the screen. I saw that the screen capture from the movie had Lily Rabe, Lili Reinhart, and Timothée Chalamet in it.
"I do admit that I've never been one to fit in easily to any given pattern. It's not my choice. It's just the way I am. So if the characters I wind up playing are all a bit different, it must be because that's the way I like it. Anna Kendrick is different and she's going to stay that way. " - Anna Kendrick
